📖Sahih Muslim 2588
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying: Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.
Charity Does Not Decrease Wealth” — When?
This applies when charity is done as a true system of mutual help – where:
- Wealth circulates between the hands of the people
- Everyone gives, everyone benefits
- It is not a scam, not publicity, not an NGO model where 90% goes to staff and 10% to the poor
Islamic charity (Zakat, Sadaqah) is different from modern-day charity businesses, It works only when done sincerely, for the sake of Allah, with transparency and trust.
📖Quran 9:60
Zakah expenditures are only for the poor, the needy, those employed to collect it, those whose hearts are to be reconciled, for freeing captives, for those in debt, for the cause of Allah, and for the stranded traveler — an obligation from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
Forgiveness Increases Honor
When you forgive for the sake of Allah, especially:
- A person who wronged you
- A situation where you had full right to take revenge
Then Allah Himself honors you in ways beyond human expectation.
📖Quran 41:34
Good and evil are not equal. Repel evil with what is better — and the one who was your enemy may become as close as a dear friend.
📖Quran 24:22
And let not those of virtue and wealth among you swear not to give to their relatives and the needy and those who emigrated for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Humility Leads to Elevation
When you humble yourself – not for status or showing off, but for Allah alone – then Allah lifts your spiritual and social rank in this world and the next.
📖Quran 25:63
The servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace.
📖Quran 3:139
So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.
