Three Dua are always answered

📖Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1905
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Three supplications are accepted, there is no doubt in them:

  1. The supplication of the oppressed,

  2. The supplication of the traveler,

  3. And the supplication of a father against his son.”
    (Classed as Hasan Sahih)

Explanation:

This Hadith confirms that Allah does not reject the duʿā of those in deep distress or sincerity. These three types of supplications come from:

  • A pure heart,
  • A helpless state, and
  • A position of sincerity and urgency.
  • They go directly to Allah without any barrier.

What Kind of Supplications It Can Be:

  • For the Oppressed:

  • “O Allah, protect us.”
  • “O Allah, defeat the oppressors.”
  • “O Allah, return our land.”
  • “O Allah, keep our children safe.”
  • For the Traveler:

  • “O Allah, grant me safety and return.”
  • “O Allah, forgive my sins.”
  • “O Allah, bless my journey and purpose.”
  • For the Father Against His Son:

    • This shows the danger of a parent’s curse, especially when deeply hurt — it’s why parents must be careful not to curse without just cause.

If the Oppressed Say:

“O Allah, protect us” – yet they are still killed or harmed, is it not accepted?

The answer is: It is accepted – just not always how you expect.

Even If They Die – It Was a Form of Protection

Sometimes, death itself becomes a shield – from:

  • Further pain,
  • Humiliation,
  • Loss of faith,
  • Or worse oppression.

📖Quran 2:154
“And do not say of those who are killed in the way of Allah, ‘They are dead.’ Rather, they are alive, but you do not perceive it.”

Their death is not a failure – it’s a higher form of honor and life in the sight of Allah.

Divine Wisdom Behind Delayed Help:

📖Quran 2:214
“Or do you think you will enter Paradise without such trials as came to those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so shaken that even the Messenger and the believers with him cried, ‘When will the help of Allah come?’ Surely, the help of Allah is near.”

So when any oppressed people make duʿā, Allah is not ignoring them – He is recording every cry, and their honor is being raised, even if unseen by the world.

The Answer – Divine Wisdom:

Acceptance does not always mean an instant result.

  • The Prophet ﷺ was oppressed for 13 years in Makkah.
  • Musa (AS) saw his people slaughtered before liberation came.

Allah accepts duʿā in one of three ways (Hadith):

  • He grants what was asked.
  • He delays it for a better time.
  • He removes a calamity or stores it as reward in the Hereafter.

🟤 Free will still exists.
The killer is responsible.
Allah gave him choice – and his crime will not go unpunished:

📖Quran 14:42
“And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them until a Day when eyes will stare in horror.
