Warning Against Shirk

📖Sahih Muslim 2985
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as stating that Allah the Most High and Exalted said: “I am the One, One Who does not stand in need of a partner. If anyone does anything in which he associates anyone else with Me, I shall abandon him with the one whom he associated with Me.”

“I shall abandon him” means: On the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look at or reward the deed, even if it appeared good in the world – because it was corrupted with shirk (association with others). The person will be left with their false gods, saints, idols, or partners they relied on – and they will not help him, This is a clear warning: If someone chooses partners with Allah in life, they have also chosen them for the Hereafter. On that Day, they can’t blame anyone, nor claim innocence –  they chose it themselves.

As for Jesus (peace be upon him) in Christianity:
He never claimed divinity or asked for worship. So, those who worship him will not find him defending them. It was Satan who misled people, and Jesus will declare his innocence.

Quranic Context:

📖Quran 5:116
And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah?’” He will say, “Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right. If I had said so, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, but I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, You alone are the Knower of the unseen.”

📖Quran 10:28
On the Day We gather them all together, We will say to those who associated others with Allah, “Stay in your place — you and your partners.” Then We will separate them, and their partners will say, “It was not us you used to worship.”

📖Quran 39:65
If you associate others with Allah, surely your deeds will be in vain, and you will be among the losers.

Anyone mixing shirk in worship – no matter how good their actions look – will be abandoned by Allah on the Day of Judgment. If they followed Jesus falsely, they will find he never asked for that. Satan misled them, and they will have no right to complain – they chose whom they followed. Only pure Tawheed (worship of Allah alone) is accepted.
