Satan’s Tactics to Sow Hatred Among Believers

📖Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1937
The Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed, Shaytan has despaired of making those who pray worship him — so instead, he spreads hatred among them.”

What the Hadith Means Today:

Shaytan cannot directly make a praying Muslim bow to him,
but he influences people around you – including other humans —
to act like Shaytan without even realizing it.

• Spreading hatred, jealousy, pride, and anger
• Causing fights over small issues
• Breaking family ties, friendships, and brotherhood
• Turning Muslims against one another, especially those in the same masjid or community

Modern Examples of Shaytan’s Influence:

• Someone promotes pornography, short clothes, zina, or LGBTQ — and says it’s “freedom.”

• They push Netflix shows, TikTok trends, and indecency as “normal.”

• And if you say, “This is wrong in Islam,” they will:

  • Call you a “hater”

  • Spread hate against you

  • Even try to cancel or mock you

They are not Iblis, but they become his soldiers – knowingly or unknowingly.

Quranic Context:

📖Quran 6:121
Indeed, the devils inspire their allies to dispute with you. And if you obey them, you would be associators (of partners with Allah).”
Shaytan whispers to his human friends, who then argue with believers and try to pull them into sin.

📖Quran 19:83
Do you not see that We have sent the devils against the disbelievers to incite them with constant provocation?”
Shaytan pushes his people to always attack the truth and truth-tellers.

📖Quran 114:1–6
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind… from the evil of the whisperer who whispers in the hearts of mankind — from among jinn and mankind.”
Shaytan whispers – and both jinn and humans can spread those whispers.

📖Quran 16:99-100
Indeed, Shaytan has no authority over those who believe and rely upon their Lord. His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who associate others with Allah.”
We can escape Shaytan through true faith and reliance on Allah.
