📖Sunan Ibn Mājah 4224
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, The people of Paradise are those whose ears are filled with the praise of people for their virtue, and they hear it. The people of Hellfire are those whose ears are filled with the condemnation of people for their evil, and they hear it.”
Description:
This hadith highlights a profound spiritual condition of the believers and the sinners. People of Paradise are those who accept and appreciate sincere praise for their good deeds, taking it as encouragement to continue righteousness. They are humble and grateful when praised, Conversely, people of Hellfire are those who hear the condemnation for their evil deeds and accept it as just, without repentance. They remain stubborn in wrongdoing, fully aware of their faults.
What About Those Who Insult Muslims Out of Hate for Islam?
If someone insults or condemns Muslims out of hatred toward Islam, does that mean they are among the people of Hellfire? Not necessarily. The hadith speaks about people whose ears are filled with condemnation for their own evil deeds, and they accept it without remorse, Someone who insults Muslims out of ignorance, prejudice, or hatred may be committing a sin, but their final status is known only to Allah. They may still repent and change.
