Women prohibited from nudity in bathhouses

📖Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2803
Narrated Abu Al-Malih Al-Hudhali: Some women from the inhabitants of Hims or Ash-Sham came to ‘Aishah. She asked them, “Are you the women whose women enter the hammams (public baths)?” She then related that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No woman removes her garments except in the house of her husband except that she has torn the screen between herself and her Lord.”

Description:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of modesty and privacy for women in Islam. It highlights that a woman should not uncover her body openly except in the private space of her husband’s home. Removing clothes in public or semi-public places like public baths (hammams) is seen as breaking a barrier (screen) that protects her modesty before Allah.

What we learn today:

  • Islam strongly encourages modesty as a means of spiritual protection and dignity for women.
  • Privacy in intimate matters is a key value, reflecting respect for oneself and for Allah’s commandments.
  • The hadith warns against exposing oneself in public spaces where such privacy cannot be maintained.

Feminists call it “empowerment” to throw away modesty. But look at the path it actually leads to: first they remove their clothes in public, then they normalize selling their bodies for quick attention, then they openly brag about sexual acts, and finally, they sell themselves on platforms like OnlyFans – turning shame into a subscription service. That’s not empowerment; that’s self-degradation sold as a brand.

  • They call it “freedom,” but it’s actually slavery to lust, greed, and social validation.
  • They betray their husbands, corrupt the youth, and poison society while pretending they are “liberating” women.
  • This agenda is not for women’s welfare – it’s Satan’s marketing strategy to make immorality look glamorous.

What about men?
Men also have strict modesty rules in Islam. The Quran commands both men and women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. Modesty is not just a woman’s responsibility – it is a shared obligation to protect society’s moral fabric.

Quranic Context:

📖Quran 24:30-31
Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do, And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment…

📖Quran 33:59
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not abused.
