Rights and Justice on the Day of Resurrection

📖Sahih Muslim 2582
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying: “Rights will certainly be restored to those entitled to them on the Day of Resurrection, (to the point that) even the hornless sheep will lay claim upon the horned one.”

Description:

This hadith is a divine warning and ultimate reassurance: every injustice will be paid back. Whether between humans, animals, believers, or disbelievers, no harm goes unnoticed. The example of animals here shows that even the weakest will be given their rights because Allah’s justice is perfect, and nothing is too small for Him to judge.

But this concept doesn’t just apply to the Hereafter.

Many punishments happen in this world too, but people are too blind to recognize them.

🔸 A man might lose guidance and die a disbeliever, not because he didn’t hear the truth, but because of his own arrogance and hatred.
🔸 Another might fall into murder, rape, betrayal, or sins so dark, and not realize that those were punishments, not freedom.
🔸 A person may live in luxury, wealth, and comfort, and still be under punishment. Why? Because they’re drowning in distractions, chasing dunya, ignoring Allah, and it all came from their own choices.

Not every gift is a blessing.
Not every suffering is random.
Many are signs and justice in motion.

The hadith teaches us: nothing escapes Allah’s justice not in this world, and especially not in the next. The poor, the voiceless, the oppressed even animals will get perfect compensation. No one will escape. Not even you.

Qur’anic Context:

📖Quran 99:7-8
So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.
Every action matters — nothing is forgotten, nothing ignored.

📖Quran 45:23
Have you seen the one who takes his own desire as his god, and Allah left him astray knowingly, sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a veil over his vision?
Some punishments look like freedom, but they’re really blindness from Allah.

📖Quran 6:44
So when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of everything — until, when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were left in despair.
Allah may give everything, just to lead someone to destruction because they chose to ignore Him.

📖Quran 14:3
Those who prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter, and avert from the path of Allah — seeking to make it crooked — it is they who are in extreme error.
Some chase this world so much, they fall into misguidance by their own doing.
