Good Conduct and Kindness to Family

📖Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2612
Narrated ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Indeed among the believers with the most complete faith is the one who is the best in conduct and the most kind to his family.’”

Explanation:

This hadith highlights that faith (Iman) is not just about rituals, but also about character and behavior. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) directly links the completeness of faith with good conduct and kindness to family.

1️⃣ Good Character Defines True Faith
🔹 The Prophet (ﷺ) teaches that the strongest believers are not just those who pray, fast, or recite the Qur’an—but those who display excellent manners.
🔹 Being kind, honest, patient, and just is a direct reflection of faith.

2️⃣ Family is the Real Test of Character
🔹 Many people act politely in public but behave harshly at home. True believers show the best conduct where it matters most—with their own families.
🔹 If someone mistreats their spouse, children, or parents while claiming to be a religious person, their faith is flawed and incomplete.

Qur’anic Context:

📖Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah, you have an excellent example for those who hope in Allah and the Last Day and remember Allah often.”
🔹 If you claim to be a believer, your behavior must reflect the example of the Prophet (ﷺ)—especially in kindness and patience.

📖Surah An-Nisa 4:19
“And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them, perhaps you dislike something in which Allah has placed much good.”
🔹 This verse commands kindness towards spouses. If a husband mistreats his wife, he is disobeying Allah.

📖Surah Al-Isra 17:23
“And We have enjoined upon man kindness to his parents…”
🔹 Being religious means treating parents with respect. Yet, many so-called “pious” Muslims ignore their parents’ needs or disrespect them.

📖Surah Al-Hujurat 49:11
“O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule another people; perhaps they may be better than them.”
🔹 A reminder that true faith is not about looking down on others but about having humility and respect.

Muslims Ignore This Hadith:

Muslims love to claim they have strong Iman, but where is their good character?

They pray in mosques but cheat in business.
They grow beards but shout at their wives.
They wear Islamic clothing but disrespect their parents.
They recite Qur’an beautifully but gossip and backbite.
They demand women wear hijab but refuse to lower their own gaze.

You say you follow Islam, but your behavior proves otherwise.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said the best believers are the ones kindest to their families.
Yet, Muslim families are filled with domestic abuse, broken marriages, and neglected parents.
You expect respect from others, but do you show kindness in your own home?
