Mercy Towards Dependents
📖Sahih Muslim 2316
Anas ibn Malik reported: I have never seen anyone more merciful to his dependents than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
- The Prophet ï·º was the epitome of mercy and care for his family and dependents.
- His example shows that true leadership and responsibility come with kindness, patience, and attention to the needs of those under your care.
- Caring for family means not only providing material support but also emotional guidance, moral teaching, and protection.
How we can follow this guidance:
- Provide for family needs – food, clothing, and shelter.
- Show emotional support – patience, understanding, encouragement.
- Guide family spiritually – teach them about Allah, prayer, and moral conduct.
- Be fair and just – avoid favoritism among children or dependents.
- Protect and defend them – socially, morally, and emotionally.
