Mercy Towards Dependents

📖Sahih Muslim 2316
Anas ibn Malik reported: I have never seen anyone more merciful to his dependents than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.

• The Prophet ﷺ was the epitome of mercy and care for his family and dependents.
• His example shows that true leadership and responsibility come with kindness, patience, and attention to the needs of those under your care.
• Caring for family means not only providing material support but also emotional guidance, moral teaching, and protection.

How we can follow this guidance:

1. Provide for family needs – food, clothing, and shelter.
2. Show emotional support – patience, understanding, encouragement.
3. Guide family spiritually – teach them about Allah, prayer, and moral conduct.
4. Be fair and just – avoid favoritism among children or dependents.
5. Protect and defend them – socially, morally, and emotionally.

📖Quran 33:21
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.

• This verse confirms the Prophet ﷺ is the perfect example for all believers, and his mercy toward dependents is a practical demonstration of this guidance.
