False Messiah targets women and families
📖Musnad Aḥmad 5353
Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The False Messiah will come upon this marsh of Marriqanat. Most of those who go out to him will be women, to the extent that a man goes back to his wife, his mother, his daughter, his sister, and his aunt to shackle them tightly, fearing they would go out to him.”
This hadith does not mean that women are evil. Rather, it highlights that women – according to research and observation -often search for love, comfort, security, and happiness more emotionally than men. The Antichrist (Dajjal) will exploit these natural inclinations by offering false solutions, illusions of happiness, and worldly attractions. That is why women are mentioned as being more vulnerable, though men will also be deceived.
Ways Dajjal can lead people astray:
- Wealth and Provision – He will make barren lands produce crops and bring food and drink, deceiving those desperate for provision.
- Illusion of Happiness – He will show false pleasures, comforts, and materialistic joys to attract people seeking emotional fulfillment.
- False Miracles – He will heal the sick, revive the dead (by trickery with jinn), and control rain, making people believe in his false divinity.
- Emotional Manipulation – Especially targeting women by presenting himself as a savior who fulfills emotional needs of love, care, and security.
- Fear and Intimidation – He will bring torment, drought, and destruction to those who reject him, scaring weak-hearted people into following him.
- Religious Deception – Claiming divinity, twisting concepts of God, and demanding worship.
- Material Attraction – Distributing gold, wealth, and treasures to enslave hearts to worldly desires.
Quranic Context:
📖Quran 6:32
“And the worldly life is nothing but play and amusement. But the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah. Will you not then reason?”
📖Quran 29:64
“And this worldly life is nothing but diversion and amusement. The Home of the Hereafter is truly the eternal life, if only they knew.”
These verses remind that the dunya’s glitter – which Dajjal will use – is temporary. Believers must stay firm, holding onto tawhid and rejecting illusions of false happiness.
