Excellence in Islam to avoid useless interests
📖Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2679
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“Among the perfection of one’s Islam is to leave what does not concern him.”
Description:
This hadith teaches that part of perfecting one’s Islam is to avoid engaging in matters that do not benefit or concern a person. This does not mean abandoning obligatory Islamic duties or commands. Rather, it encourages focusing on what is truly beneficial and refraining from unnecessary distractions or actions that may lead to harm or waste time, such as watching inappropriate movies, listening to certain songs purely for entertainment, or engaging in pursuits driven only by worldly gain without meaningful benefit.
If you feel that certain activities are harmful or not good for your faith, character, or priorities, leaving them is a sign of maturity and spiritual refinement. This hadith encourages mindfulness about how we spend our time and energy, urging us to avoid what distracts us from our purpose and growth in Islam.

But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters.
