Allah Loves Purity, Cleanliness, and Generosity
📖Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2799
Salih ibn Abi Hassan reported: Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Verily, Allah is pure and He loves purity. He is clean and He loves cleanliness. He is generous and He loves generosity. He is magnanimous and He loves magnanimity.”
Meaning:
Allah is absolutely perfect in His qualities. No human can ever be like Allah, but a believer shows true goodness by doing what Allah loves. Purity, cleanliness, generosity, and dignity are not just habits – they are acts of worship that bring us closer to Him.
How to be Pure:
- Avoid pornography, adultery, and lustful habits.
- Avoid hatred, jealousy, arrogance, and bad speech.
- Keep your heart pure with sincere prayer and remembrance.
- Keep your body clean through wudu (ablution) and ghusl (purification).
- Keep your home, food, and clothing clean.
- Be generous with wealth, time, and forgiveness.
Quranic Context:
📖Quran 59:23
He is Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Sovereign, the Most Holy, the Source of Peace, the Granter of Security, the Overseer, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
📖Quran 9:108
Do not stand for prayer within it ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.
📖Quran 2:222
Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent and loves those who purify themselves.
