Crucifixion of Jesus and Islam

In Islam, the crucifixion of Jesus is not accepted based on the Quran and our own reasoning. It is blasphemy to say that God allowed the Messiah to die at the hands of his enemies to prove them right in their claim that he was a false Messiah. Over time, impostors among the Pharisees fabricated story after story, claiming that he died for our sins. However, this is neither clearly proven in the Bible nor does it align with logic and justice. Those who believe that Jesus was crucified are impostors and antichrists. They follow none other than Satan, who knows the history of the Bible yet manipulates it, spreading a distorted book among Christians as part of his deception. When they found it difficult to deceive people, they introduced adultery, nudity, and pornography, including platforms like OnlyFans, into Christian society. Now, this corruption is spreading everywhere, and even the Bible itself condemns them.

📖Quran 3:49-55
And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers, And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me, Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path, But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, “Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?” The disciples said,” We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth].” And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners. [Mention] when Allah said, “O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

  • The passage from Quran 3:49-55. It emphasizes Allah’s love, protection, and guidance towards Jesus and the believers, as well as Allah’s ultimate authority and judgment. According to this passage, Allah planned to save Jesus from his enemies, raise him to Himself, purify him, and make his followers superior to the disbelievers. It highlights Allah’s wisdom and control over the affairs of His creation. It is a representation of the Islamic belief in Allah’s love and care for His messengers and their followers, as well as His absolute sovereignty and wisdom.

Some people interpret the term “Mutawaffika” as “death,” but the term has many meanings. Its context is found in Surah An-Nisa (4:157-158), The word “Mutawaffika” (مُتَوَفِّيكَ) is used in the Qur’an not only in the context of Isa (AS) but also to describe how Allah takes souls during sleep.

📖Quran 39:42
اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا
“Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and (also) those that do not die, during their sleep…” (39:42)

Here, “يَتَوَفَّى” (yatawaffā) comes from the same root as “Mutawaffika”, meaning to take completely. This verse clarifies that taking (wafa) does not always mean death but can also refer to taking the soul during sleep.

Connection to Surah Aal-e-Imran (3:55)

  1. Since Isa (AS) was not killed (as confirmed in Surah An-Nisa 4:157-158), the meaning of “Mutawaffika” in 3:55 can be understood as “taking away” or “causing a state like sleep” before raising him.”
  2. This aligns with how the word is used in 39:42, where Allah takes souls during sleep but does not necessarily cause death.

Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:117) – Jesus Speaking on the Day of Judgment,

📖Quran 5:117
So when You took me (تَوَفَّيْتَنِي), You were the Observer over them.

  1. تَوَفَّى (tawaffā)(You) took fully (past tense, second person singular)
  2. تَ (ta)You (referring to Allah)
  3. نِي (ni)Me (Isa عليه السلام is speaking)
  • Literal meaning: “You took me fully”

Context in Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:117)

فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ
“So when You took me (تَوَفَّيْتَنِي), You were the Observer over them…”

Does it mean “Death”?

  • The Qur’an uses wafa’ (وَفَى) to mean both taking the soul during sleep (39:42) and death.
  • But in Jesus’s case, we know from Surah An-Nisa (4:157-158) that he was raised alive, not killed.
  • So, “tawaffaytani” in 5:117 means “when You took me away”, not death.

Brief Explanation

Many Christians claim that Allah deceived them, but in reality, Allah does not deceive anyone. According to the Quranic passage (Quran 3:49-55, Quran 5:111-115), Jesus asked his disciples who among them would support him in the cause of Allah. The disciples responded by declaring that they were supporters of Allah, that they believed in Him, and that they testified to being Muslims, submitting to His will. This indicates that Jesus’ disciples were aware of Allah’s plan to raise Jesus to Himself and were committed to supporting him in fulfilling Allah’s will. They believed in Allah and identified themselves as Muslims, submitting to His guidance. However, after Jesus’ departure, over time, people themselves altered the message.

📖Quran 40:51
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand –

Does Allah Support the Believers?

It may seem that believers sometimes suffer hardship, persecution, or even defeat, but divine support does not always mean worldly victory or material success. Here’s how Allah’s support manifests:

  1. Spiritual and Moral Strength – Even in difficulties, believers remain firm in faith, gaining inner peace and perseverance.
  2. Protection of the Message – While individuals may suffer, the truth of Islam continues to spread and survive.
  3. Ultimate Justice in the Hereafter – The verse itself mentions support on the Day of Judgment, which is the final and most important victory.
  4. Examples from the Lives of Prophets – Many prophets, including Jesus, faced rejection and persecution, yet their mission was ultimately successful.

Why Didn’t God Preserve The Previous Books

Allah, the Almighty and Merciful, has granted every human being free will as a gift. This free will allows individuals to make choices and decisions based on their own beliefs, desires, and actions. It is considered a test from Allah, as humans are given the freedom to choose between righteousness and disobedience. In order to guide humanity towards the path of righteousness and remind them of their covenant with Allah, messengers or prophets were sent by Allah. These messengers were chosen by Allah to convey His message to humanity and show them the right way of living according to His commandments. However, despite the guidance provided by the previous messengers, some people were more inclined towards worldly power, wealth, and materialistic pursuits. They became enamored with the allure of worldly pleasures and chose to deviate from the righteous path prescribed by Allah. They turned away from their covenant with Allah and indulged in disobedient behavior, such as corruption, injustice, and greed. As time passed, people’s priorities shifted towards worldly gains, and they lost sight of their spiritual obligations towards Allah. They disregarded the teachings of the previous messengers and ignored their divine guidance, leading to a breach of the covenant with Allah.

📖Quran 5:18
Sahih International
And from those who say, “We are Christians” We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.

It is also important to note that In this passage, Allah is referring to those who did not adhere to the covenant with Him and used the name “Christian” to refer to themselves. This indicates that Allah did not establish Christianity as a religion and did not give this name. From the Bible, we also learn that the term “Christian” was used by pagans during the time of Paul, and those who broke the covenant they adopted this name for themselves.

Superiority of Those Who Follow Jesus in Submission to Allah

In Quran 3:55, the verse appears to refer to the followers of Jesus who initially embraced his original message. However, over time, their descendants remained in Christianity, holding onto a version of the message that had been fabricated and altered—possibly influenced by figures like Paul and the Roman Pharisees. The Quran states that believers are superior to disbelievers. The disbelievers mentioned in this context include both the Jewish community and pagans, but notably, not the Christians. This suggests that while Christians did not outright reject Jesus, they were misled by their leaders. However, they still believe in Jesus as a real figure, and there is diversity in interpretations within their community. The Quran does not explicitly state that the blessings Allah bestowed upon them were taken away. In Quran 5:14, Allah mentions a punishment for those who disbelieved after receiving confirmation, and in Quran 5:15, Allah indicates that they concealed much, likely referring to the original Gospel of Jesus. When Prophet Muhammad came, both Jews and those who identified as Christians had the opportunity to return to the original faith. However, this does not necessarily mean that the blessings granted to their forefathers were universally withdrawn from all who rejected the final message. Consequently, the verse can still be seen as referring to Christians as being superior to the Jews, despite their deviation from the original message. However, their rejection of the final message leads to their misguidance. Quran 98:6 reaffirms the punishment for those who persist in disbelief. It is also important to note that this verse also refer to the Muslims of that time who followed Jesus and used the term “Christian,” but their descendants remained in Christianity with a message that had been fabricated. This verse applies to both today’s Muslims and Christians, but the rejection of the final message by Christians ultimately leads them to hell, if they knowingly reject the truth.

Does God’s word change

Allah’s word does not change because the message that Allah has given from the beginning remains with Him. However, initially, the message was sent to specific nations and not for all of mankind, and Allah did not preserve it, rather leaving it to the people as a test of their free will. But humans changed and disobeyed that message. Then Allah sent the same message again, as His word does not change. Therefore, the Qur’an, which is sent for all of mankind, has been preserved by Allah as a divine guidance for humanity.

📖Quran 21:24
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], “Produce your proof. This [Qur’an] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me.” But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.

The phrase “those before me” refers to the previous prophets and messengers sent by God in different times and places throughout history, according to this passage. It indicates that the message of the Qur’an is consistent with the messages brought by earlier prophets, such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, among others, who were also believed to have been sent by God to guide humanity.

Summary:

It is noteworthy that prior messengers had already foretold the arrival of Prophet Muhammad. Nevertheless, when he came with the Qur’an, which was intended for all of humanity, he faced rejection from many. Furthermore, the individuals deliberately altered the previous scriptures, all due to their own volition.

According to Bible, God deceived his prophets

📖Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.

📖Mark 15:34
And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”)

📖Deuteronomy 18:22
If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.

📖Ezekiel 14:9
And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

  • According to Mark 16:17-18 and Mark 15:34, these verses prove that God deceived His prophets, specifically Jesus. This is because Jesus said that believers can drink poison without harm. If Christians believe they are true followers of Jesus, they should be able to drink real poison as a test of their faith. Additionally, Ezekiel 14:9 shows that God deceived, because what Jesus said does not work, leading to his rejection by the majority of Jacob’s children. These verses also disprove his prophethood. It is too far-fetched to discuss the concept of the Messiah, but we do not believe in these verses, or perhaps they have been misinterpreted. If you have any insights, please share your comments.

📖Jeremiah 20:7
You deceived me, LORD, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me.

This verse, found in Jeremiah 20:7, is not the direct word of God but rather an expression of Prophet Jeremiah’s personal feelings and struggles. In this passage, Jeremiah is speaking about his own experience, feeling overwhelmed and deceived due to the hardships he faced while delivering God’s message. If someone reads the verse without context, they might mistakenly think that God is being accused of deception. However, the reality is that Jeremiah is expressing his frustration, not stating a theological fact about God. This verse reflects the emotional burden of a prophet, showing his human side as he endures mockery and hardship for fulfilling his divine mission.

God deceived Ahab’s prophets

📖1 Kings 22:20-22
The Lord asked, “Who will deceive Ahab so that he will go and be killed at Ramoth?’ Some of the angels said one thing, and others said something else, until a spirit stepped forward, approached the Lord, and said, “I will deceive him.”How?’ the Lord asked. The spirit replied, “I will go and make all of Ahab’s prophets tell lies.’ The Lord said, “Go and deceive him. You will succeed.’ “

God deceived Ahab’s prophets if you read the verse, but if you ignore the context, you wouldn’t understand why He deceived them. Any act of deception can be understood as them having done wrong, they tried to do wrong. So before they chose and committed a great crime, God deceived them. That’s how the context is for such passages.

God Misleading People Instead of Guiding Them

📖1 Kings 22:21-22
Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’ By what means?’ the LORD asked. “’I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “’You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.

God did not guide them and instead sent a spirit to deceive them, even though if God had wanted, He could have guided them instead of deceiving them.

Biblical Verse about God Sending Delusion to Those who Reject the Truth

📖2 Thessalonians 2:11
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.

Why would God send people a delusion when He has the power to guide them? This is a valid question, but the answer lies in the nature of human choice and persistent rejection of the truth.

Yes, God does send delusion, not to deceive people unjustly, but as a consequence for those who repeatedly reject Him. When people continuously turn away from guidance, deny the truth, and persist in disbelief, God allows them to go further astray as a form of divine justice. This aligns with the principle that those who seek truth sincerely are guided, while those who reject it repeatedly are left to follow their own misguided desires.

A Thought from Thomas Paine

“If Jesus Christ was the being which those mythologists tell us he was, and that he came into this world to suffer, which is a word they sometimes use instead of ‘to die,’ the only real suffering he could have endured would have been ‘to live.’ His existence here was a state of exilement or transportation from heaven, and the way back to his original country was to die. — In fine, everything in this strange system is the reverse of what it pretends to be. It is the reverse of truth, and I become so tired of examining into its inconsistencies and absurdities, that I hasten to the conclusion of it, in order to proceed to something better.”

Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason

A Thought from Thomas Jefferson

“The hocus-pocus phantasm of a God like another Cerberus, with one body and three heads, had its birth and growth in the blood of thousands and thousands of martyrs… In fact, the Athanasian paradox that one is three, and three but one, is so incomprehensible to the human mind, that no candid man can say he has any idea of it, and how can he believe what presents no idea? He who thinks he does, only deceives himself. He proves, also, that man, once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without a rudder, is the sport of every wind. With such persons, gullibility which they call faith, takes the helm from the hand of reason, and the mind becomes a wreck.
